Flint River in Thomaston, GA
After my folks divorced in 2008, I moved to a town called Zebulon in Georgia to be close to my mother and other family. It is about an hour south of Atlanta. Really it was just that I wanted some time away from Memphis. Life has a whole different feeling when you live in the country and are surrounded by nothing but nature. Now I am back in Memphis and all I have of Georgia is some pictures and my memories. These pictures are from about 10 minutes south of where I lived. The Flint River was a big resource for the native americans. They made many of their tools out of the rock (flint) that came from the river. Well there arent many indians around anymore but at least we still get to enjoy the river :-) You can walk trails from the outlook through the woods down to the river. It's really calming. Be careful though there are alligators in the river!! I think you can click on the pictures to bring up a big size. Enjoy.

For Starters
So as I've told you over on www.memphisp123.blogspot.com I have several different hobbies and interests. I like taking pictures so last year I bought a Panasonic DMC-FZ35. It has a 18x zoom and takes hi def video. I really like it. It's what I will be using for all my videos and pictures for a while. Anyway after I learned some photography basics like aperature, shutter speed, etc., I managed to pull off some pretty nice shots. Check out my photostream on Flickr here http://www.flickr.com/photos/memphisp/ I will be posting much more stuff to come soon.
